A different perspective

Being a teacher is tiring..
Being a practicum teacher is tiring + shocking..

Seeing the world of teaching and learning from a different perspective.
It really had opened my mind and the way I think.

I hope I can be strong, I hope I can survive, I can keep my sanity,
I pray that everything goes smoothly,

Dear 2 Cedilia and 4 Prinsip Akaun students,
Be nice to me.
I hope you understand what am I teaching.
If you don't understand, ask me.
Don't be afraid/ashamed speaking in English.
Try not  speak Kelantanese with me.
Cause I don't pehe.

A Teacher's Prayer

by Jill Wolf

I want to teach
my students more than lessons in a book;

I want to teach them
deeper things
that people overlook -

the value of a rose in bloom
its use and beauty, too;
a sense of curiosity
to discover what is true:

how to think and how to choose
the right above the wrong;

how to live and learn each day
and grow up to be strong;
to teach them always

how to gain
in wisdom and in grace;
so they will someday
make the world
a brighter, better place.

Let me be
a friend and guide
to give these minds a start;
upon their way
down life's long road
then I'll have done my part.

p/s: i'm so busy thinking of the materials, the lesson plans and the necessities of being a teacher but i've forgotten my purpose of being a teacher. lets look back and pray for the best.

Are You Ready???

In a couple of days, I’ll be entering the world of teaching.
5 years of me sitting in classrooms, listening to lectures, and understanding theories of teaching and learning.
Now, it’s time for me to see the classroom from another point of view. Get my hands dirty. Experience it.
Ohh.. am I ready?
Physical wise, such as clothes, stationaries, materials… I can pretty much say I’m ready.
However, from the emotional and mental side of being a teacher… errrrr.. not so.

Oh God, please help me and ease everything. May I become a good teacher and may I do good in my practicum. Amin.

awkward...

situation:
 it's Wednesday, 80% of my classmates were wearing our class's corporate shirt. It was RED in colour.
and i wasn't in the mood of wearing it, so I wore a BLUE baju kurung.

So, long story short.
I met the Timbalan Pengarah of IPGM Kampus Kota Bharu. He saw me, he stopped and asked me,

TP: Ni nape dok pakai baju meghoh nih?? (kecek kelate)
Me: Saya tak dapat SMS pagi tadi.
TP: Saya dok tanya dapat SMS ke tidok, saya tanya pasal baju. (berlalu pergi)
Me: Dok, SMS suroh pakai baju meroh...(sayup2, sbb TP dh berlalu pergi)
Kengkawan lain: Hahahahahaha..

Moral of the story: Don't make stupid jokes in front of higher people like the TP. They might not understand your jokes, and leave you awkwardly feeling guilty for making such jokes.
