Being a teacher is tiring..
Being a practicum teacher is tiring + shocking..
Seeing the world of teaching and learning from a different perspective.
It really had opened my mind and the way I think.
I hope I can be strong, I hope I can survive, I can keep my sanity,
I pray that everything goes smoothly,
Dear 2 Cedilia and 4 Prinsip Akaun students,
Be nice to me.
I hope you understand what am I teaching.
If you don't understand, ask me.
Don't be afraid/ashamed speaking in English.
Try not speak Kelantanese with me.
Cause I don't pehe.

A Teacher's Prayer
by Jill Wolf
I want to teach
my students more than lessons in a book;
I want to teach them
deeper things
that people overlook -
the value of a rose in bloom
its use and beauty, too;
a sense of curiosity
to discover what is true:
how to think and how to choose
the right above the wrong;
how to live and learn each day
and grow up to be strong;
to teach them always
how to gain
in wisdom and in grace;
so they will someday
make the world
a brighter, better place.
Let me be
a friend and guide
to give these minds a start;
upon their way
down life's long road
then I'll have done my part.
p/s: i'm so busy thinking of the materials, the lesson plans and the necessities of being a teacher but i've forgotten my purpose of being a teacher. lets look back and pray for the best.

Are You Ready???
In a couple of days, I’ll be entering the world of teaching.
5 years of me sitting in classrooms, listening to lectures,
and understanding theories of teaching and learning.
Now, it’s time for me to see the classroom from another
point of view. Get my hands dirty. Experience it.
Ohh.. am I ready?
Physical wise, such as clothes, stationaries, materials… I can
pretty much say I’m ready.
However, from the emotional and mental side of being a
teacher… errrrr.. not so.
Oh God, please help me and ease everything. May I become a
good teacher and may I do good in my practicum. Amin.
awkward...
situation:
it's Wednesday, 80% of my classmates were wearing our class's corporate shirt. It was RED in colour.
and i wasn't in the mood of wearing it, so I wore a BLUE baju kurung.
So, long story short.
I met the Timbalan Pengarah of IPGM Kampus Kota Bharu. He saw me, he stopped and asked me,
TP: Ni nape dok pakai baju meghoh nih?? (kecek kelate)
Me: Saya tak dapat SMS pagi tadi.
TP: Saya dok tanya dapat SMS ke tidok, saya tanya pasal baju. (berlalu pergi)
Me: Dok, SMS suroh pakai baju meroh...(sayup2, sbb TP dh berlalu pergi)
Kengkawan lain: Hahahahahaha..
Moral of the story: Don't make stupid jokes in front of higher people like the TP. They might not understand your jokes, and leave you awkwardly feeling guilty for making such jokes.

Third day of January
I went to class as usual today. Usually, 7-10 minutes before
the class starts.
However, it seems like I was late today. Probably because
many of my friends are staying off campus right now and they have to come to
class early.
Or probably because Madam was VERY early today. And that was weird.
(-__-“) Hmmm.
Madam explained to us about the repertoire of being a
teacher. And she touched on how are you going to introduce yourself on the
first day of practicum. OH MY GUCCI!! How?? I’ve never thought of that. Madam
asked for an example from one my classmates. And then another. I looked away
hoping she wouldn’t pick me. But she did. I could not think, I didn’t have any
idea. How am I supposed to introduce myself. So, I took any props. And do what I
need to do. I think the response was good? I think so. But after that, I was
still in shock. ERKKK!! I’m nervous for my practicum in a week time. Am I going
to do good? Can I control the class? How I am supposed to teach them when I’m
not confident enough with my own English?
Then, I remembered what my mum messaged me when I told her
about my practicum.
She wrote:
“Ok relax… Be yourself, always happy and confident.”
InsyaAllah, mak. I will. Fuuuuuuhhhh~~~ May my body are
filled with ion2 positive so that I can channel to others as well.
p/s: It’s raining nonstop from this morning. Enjoying the
sounds of the raindrops. It’s soothing to the ears.

Clorox
The second day in Maktab Ngeri. Haha.
Supposedly, I have one class. Just one class for today.
Exactly at 745am till 845am as stated in the schedule.
I arrived in class at 745am, 750am.. 8am and there is still no
sign of a lecturer coming in. Ok fine.
Then, we waited and waited. Received messages that the class
will be postponed later at 1045am.
Then, 1145am. Our patience was being tested. So, my
classmates and I bonded by gossiping, and doing some lesson plan.
At 1245am, the whole class could not stand it anymore and we
decided to go back. Feeling ‘lantak pi lah, aku nak balik gak’. Why not? It’s
because we wasted long hours doing nothing. (-__-)
That was my day.
On a side note, I bought Clorox. Hahaha. Y? It’s because I can’t
stand all the dirtiness of my hostel’s toilet. It is the stain, the fungi, the
kotoran degil on the wall that I can’t stand anymore. I can’t wait for the
ketua aras to act upon it. Maybe it’s better to find the ketua aras and
complain about it. But I took the initiative to clean the toilet little by
little. Just so I can feel good about myself using the toilet. I’m not sure if
it’s a good idea to do that or not. But hey, someone gotta do it and I’m going
to use that toilet for another 5months.
That’s all from me. Be nice to each other.
p/s: can't believe that my lil sis is already in Form 4.

2013
Wah, it has been approximately a month that this blog hasn’t
been written any posts.
It is not because I’ve forgotten, but everytime I tried to
write, I’ll find excuses not to write it.
Anyhow,
2012 already said goodbye and now we welcome 2013.
2012 has left me lots of memories.
Good ones and bad ones.
Among the highlights were:
- · spending good times before leaving the UK (climbing mt. edgecumbe, went to the beach, farewell dinner, handing in my dissertation)
- · leaving UK (I cried terribly at Heathrow Airport),
- · found out something (if you know, you’ll know)
- · heartbreaks
- · my eldest brother’s, my first classmate’s and my besfren’s wedding (that was nice)
- · a quirky weird birthday celebration from my friends and my family
Now, I welcome 2013 with open arms and positivity.
Hi, 2013. Be nice to me.
No more heartbreaks, no more stress, no more sadness…
I want to brave. I want to be strong. I want to be loved.
p/s: I’ll try to write more because my new years’ resolution
it to be relaxed, positive and expressive.
